String Gauge Conversions - Plain strings
People often have difficulty working out string equivalents between brands. This chart will help. All measurements are metric (ie. in mm). Please note that not all brands make strings in every gauge. For example, a measurement of .575 in nylon will be rounded up to .58 in practice.
